  1. Do you rent crates for home or office moves?

    Yes, Pluscrates supply domestic users. Our online ordering page is designed specifically for domestic/personal and small business needs – Simply go to the products section to hire or buy crates, obtain a quote or place an order.

  2. Do you sell crates?

    Yes! Owing to Pluscrates’ special relationship with Advanced Crates, we are able to offer new crates at attractive prices. For more information on new and used crates, please email info@pluscrates.com or give us a call on 0208 900 0321

  3. I need to rent some crates. How much notice do you need?

    We welcome 48 hours notice or more but are quite used to processing our client’s instructions with as little as one days notice. For an additional emergency fee, we can often process same day orders. For same day deliveries, additional charges will apply. Please contact the office for further details.

  4. Can I have crates delivered at a specific time?

    Our crate deliveries / collection can occur at any time during the day between 8:30 and 5pm. (Monday to Friday). If you require a more accurate eta then please feel free to give us a call on the morning of your delivery/collection and we can provide one. However, if you require a time outside of these set hours or a specific time e.g. 9 am, this can be arranged at an additional cost when 48 hours’ notice is given.

    Please note that these times are estimated and can be affected by factors outside of our control. You will need to be available at the time of delivery and collection to sign the paperwork.

  5. Will you deliver to a specific floor?

    We always aim to deliver the crates to the required destination. If you need the crates delivered to the 7th floor and there is a lift in the building, please note this information on the order form when placing the order, and we will carry out your instructions. If no lift is available, then it may be necessary to allocate more time to this delivery/collection, please let us know, and we will do our best to get the crates to your requested location.

  6. How do I amend an order I’ve made online?

    Simply drop us an email at info@pluscrates.com or give us a call on 0208 900 0321 quoting your order reference number. We will be happy to help.

  7. Can I collect the crates or organise my own courier?

    We offer a flexible service allowing you to make your own arrangements if you wish. We have depots in Bristol, Livingston, Manchester and London (Essex), which you are welcome to attend to collect crates. If you’d like to arrange your own courier, you are also welcome to do so, just let us know at the time of placing the order, and we can have the crates shrink-wrapped and ready to go.

  8. How much do they cost?

    Pluscrates supply crates across the UK at competitive rates and the rates offered relate to the quantity required and the period of rental. Domestic users can obtain a quote or place an order online here. Commercial Relocation or Facilities Management and business users will also find information in the commercial relocation section and are invited to email or call us for a specific quotation or to place your first order. Business users requiring relatively small quantities of crates are invited to make use of our online ordering facility.

  9. How will I be invoiced? How should I pay?

    Rental starts from the day of delivery. Online payments are taken at the time the order is placed and crates will only generate an invoice if product passes the requested collection date. You will then be invoiced for rental every 2 weeks. Account clients will receive invoices every 2 weeks until the products are returned. We provide 30 days credit from date of invoice to all our account clients. We will accept payment by cheque, credit card or BACS payment.

  10. Will you move my crates with their contents to our new premises or to store?

    No, Pluscrates specialise in supplying crates, materials and handling equipment to carry out a move only – We do not move crates that have contents. We do work with commercial removal and logistic companies in the UK and would be happy to make a recommendation.

  11. Do you rent crates to schools, universities or colleges?

    Yes, we do rent crates to schools, universities, and colleges. In fact, during the summer months, we see a large uptake in this type of work across the country. These can be multiple drops, staggered crate hire over a longer project or one-off orders.

  12. How many crates can you fit on one pallet?

    If you are sending a courier to collect large quantities of empty crates then it may be necessary to know how many empty crates you can fit on a single pallet.

    LMC x 40
    IT6/IT3 x 60

    This is based on a standard Chepstow pallet.

    Please note that this is not accurate for full crates as this will be weight dependent.

  13. How much does transport/delivery cost?

    Our delivery and collection prices are based on the area we are delivering to. Our pricing is based on UK postcodes, and you can check the price for your area on our transport pricing page. If you go to that page, you can enter the first letters of your postcode to get the delivery or collection costs.
